Meet our Leadership Team
Nick serves as President of Eurofins NTD Genetics, joining in 2020. He has previously served in an executive capacity at full-service clinical reference laboratories with areas of expertise in esoteric testing and advanced technologies in the specialties of molecular microbiology, endocrinology, and genetics. He brings significant expertise in assay and process innovation, business development, operational and financial management, and regulatory compliance. Nick holds a Bachelor of Arts in Molecular Biology from Colgate University. He is currently pursuing a Master in Business Administration from the Cornell Johnson Graduate School of Management, where he is also an EMI Fellow, and a Master of Science in Healthcare Leadership from Weill Cornell Medicine. He is also credentialed as a Diplomate in Laboratory Management (DLM) and a Technologist in Molecular Biology (MB) from the American Society of Clinical Pathology (ASCP).
Associate Vice President of Business Development & Marketing
Chris Busa joined Eurofins NTD Genetics in September 2020 and has over 20 years of sales and marketing experience in the clinical diagnostics space working for companies such as Beckman Coulter, bioMerieux, and BD. Prior to joining the company, Chris spent 13 years at BD Diagnostics where he held a variety of global and US roles in sales and marketing leadership in the molecular diagnostics and women’s health businesses, which culminated in his role as Director of Marketing. Over his tenure, Chris has developed and led multiple award-winning sales teams, coached and trained sales people from around the globe, and brings to work with him each day his passion for healthcare – particularly, the women’s health market. Chris earned a BA in Computer Science from DePauw University.
Terrence Hallahan, Ph.D.
Laboratory Director (NY)
Dr. Hallahan has been a part of Eurofins NTD Genetics for over 23 years. He studied at Washington State University, where he earned his Ph.D. and served as a teaching assistant from 1983 to 1984. He earned an NIH Fellowship from the National Heart, Lung and Blood Institute while working at the Center for Biochemical and Biophysical Sciences and Medicine, Harvard Medical School from 1988 to 1991. Dr. Hallahan served as Research Scientist for Enzon, Inc., in Piscataway, New Jersey, where he earned the Enzon, Inc. Inventor’s Award three times between 1992 and 1993. He assumed a leadership position at NTD Laboratories, then an independent laboratory, as Research Director and Assistant Laboratory Director in 1995. He is a member of the American Society of Human Genetics and has authored and co-authored numerous articles, reports and abstracts relating to prenatal screening in major medical journals.
David Krantz, M.S.
Director of Biostatistics
David Krantz is the director of biostatistics for Eurofins NTD Genetics. He has a bachelor’s degree in mathematics from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and a master’s degree in statistics from Columbia University. He has made scientific presentations on prenatal screening at the annual meetings of the Society of Maternal Fetal Medicine and the American Society of Human Genetics. He has authored numerous articles, reports and abstracts in medical journals. David was the coordinator of computer services for the BUN study, a large-scale, NIH funded, prospective study on First Trimester Down syndrome screening.
Nafeesah Reid, CSSGB
Director of Revenue Cycle Management
Nafeesah Reid joined Eurofins NTD Genetics in late 2020, when she became the Director of Revenue Cycle Management. She studied at Kaplan University, where she earned her Bachelors of Science in Healthcare Administration and has 20 years of healthcare Revenue Cycle experience. Nafeesah has expanded her knowledge by obtaining the following certifications: Six Sigma Green Belt, Safe Agilist, and Product Owner/Manager, with which she has built strategies, automated processes, and led projects that reduced areas of inefficiency for various organizations, uncovering over $1M in revenue.
Joseph Santos, MBA
Director of Financial Planning & Analysis
Joe Santos joined the Eurofins NTD Genetics team in December 2020 as the Director of Financial Planning & Analysis. Prior to joining Eurofins, Joe was the Finance Director at Epiq and has held leadership roles at Verizon and Aramark. Joe earned a BS in Business Administration from Bryant University and an MBA from Kennesaw State University.
Clinical Laboratory Supervisor (NY)
Khadim Moustapha is the Clinical Laboratory Supervisor at Eurofins NTD Genetics. He is responsible for overseeing the daily laboratory operations at our NY facility, from specimen accessioning to the performance of laboratory testing. Khadim provides training and conduct competency assessments of all clinical laboratory staff on laboratory procedures and processes as is required by NYSDOH and College of American Pathologist (CAP). He ensures that quality control and quality assurance requirements are being met and adhered to. Khahim is a licensed Clinical Laboratory Technologist by New York State Department of Education (NYSDOE). He has been on the clinical laboratory staff at NTD Genetics since 1985 when he joined as a laboratory technician.
